This ground-up development for a public charter school owner & operator consists of instructional classrooms, administrative office space, and subterranean parking. The project is located adjacent to the Jordan Downs public housing project and required a discretionary Conditional Use Permit (CUP). Despite public support, local labor unions illicitly challenged the project. Working with community organizations and political officials enabled us to obtain the CUP and the necessary permit approvals from Los Angeles City Council’s Planning and Land Use Management Committee (PLUM). The project was successfully delivered on time and under budget.
